  • If there is no red light on the remote when pressing the buttons it may be time to change the battery. Please refer to the instructions on how to change the battery.

    HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES

If the red light is visible, please refer to “Motor is not working” below.

  • Typically this means it is time to change the batteries in the wind sensor. As a fail safe mechanism your awning will retract when the batteries need to be replaced. Please refer to your reference manual or click for instructions.

HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES IN YOUR WIND SENSOR

  • If the motor does not appear to be working always check to make sure the remote is operational. Please refer to “Remote is not working” above. Many times what seems to be a failed motor can be contributed to a loss of power to the awning. Please ensure that there is power to the plug by simply plugging something in to the same receptacle if possible. Sometimes outdoor plugs may also need to be reset. Click for instructions on how to reset an exterior plug.

HOW TO RESET YOUR EXTERIOR GFI PLUG

If the GFI reset does not work, be sure to check for a tripped breaker on your main breaker panel.

  • If your manual awning feels “stuck” and not retracting fully it is most likely rolled in backwards.

HOW TO RETRACT YOUR AWNING IF IT FEELS STUCK

  • Many of our awnings feature a built-in pitch adjust. If your pitch adjust has reached it’s uppermost limit and the awning is still tilting too low please check to make sure all of your brackets are securely fastened to the wall. A service call will be required if a bolt is starting to work itself loose.
